"Legally Blonde The Musical"

By Musicality University of Nottingham

Nottingham Arts Theatre

Let me give you a little brief of what Legally Blonde is all about so it's the story of Elle Woods, who enrolls at Havard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend warner. As she discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others.

Wow! What can I say about last night's performance of "Legally Blonde The Musical"? It's a musical that I haven't seen before and can I just say it was one of the best shows I have ever seen from Musicality as last year I saw "Urinetown" and I was impressed with the top-quality performance. It was an absolutely amazing show. What a great opening to the original song called "Omigod You Guys" which made me smile. Having all the cast come on stage was wonderful, especially the LIVE Band!

Liv Reid who plays - (Elle Woods)  Should be very proud of herself and I thought she smashed it all the way and I really loved watching her and listening to her amazing vocals that she sang and she sang so beautifully.

Ryan Cooley, played Bobby Strong last year in "Urinetown" This year seeing he played Kyle / Grandmaster Chad who was a UPS delivering driver during the show. I really enjoyed watching him because of his vocals and I also thought Ryan did really well when he raps as he blows my mind.

I have seen Emilia Makarewicz last year in "Urinetown" as an ensemble and I really do think that she did really well and I could see that she has built confidence since she was on the show last year and I am really pleased that she was enjoying herself shining on the stage!

We had a LIVE orchestra who worked very hard. This was directed by A J Hill with some help from music assistant Rebecca Perkins!

I thought the choreography was absolutely outstanding it was created by Ethea Lee and made did an awesome job I loved the way they did some awesome movements and creations they put in and made it into MUSICAL!

The set was designed by the Musicality team which I thought was really creative and outstanding.
A massive well done to the amazing creatives team

Eliza Wappat, Cat New, and Alice Humphrys did really good with the Costumes, hair, and makeup so well done to them.

Directed by Charlie Greene. he did absolutely amazing with his very first directing show for Legally Blonde and he should be very proud of his achievement.

The show was produced by lovely Carla Davison followed by assistant Josie Fowler I believe that they have worked so hard for over the year with planning and to be able to make this production show the BEST!

The lighting and sounding were done by Rob Kettridge and Evie Webster spectacularly, The fact is it was so much higher quality than some of the others I saw before. I was confused in the beginning as the auditorium lights suddenly came on when the cast was singing and I thought it was a little bit strange as I have not seen anything like that before. However, the rest of the lighting was epic and the timing was just spot on I'm pleased about it including the sounds as well.

There are a couple of songs that you can expect from the Legally Blonde, which is... "Legally Blonde", Whipped into Shape, Chip on my shoulders and so much more".

You can expect full of non-stop singing and some energy from the show made me so happy I could actually tell they all were enjoying themselves and I could see they had some sweats coming through with their fantastic dancing. The vocals from the acts were very strong and it sounded like I was watching a West End Musical in London some of the songs made my heart melt. At the end of the show, there was a standing ovation.

Altogether, I would have to rate this production show with a whopping 5 stars as this have to be a more fun show than ever, and also, this is fun for all the family!

A massive congratulations to all of the cast and crew for putting on an incredible show!!
